Why Would I Want to See a Counsellor?

In the past: “Our circles of families, neighbour's and friends were often closer in proximity, they were more able to offer their time and wisdom, they were there to offer encouragement or a helping hand if required. My aunt or uncle, sister or brother, teacher or neighbour could be relied upon and had the time to talk or "listen”

Or

“I was always alone, in or out of a relationship, I have become used to doing things for myself, I don’t need anyone else, until, a crisis or age or a growing self-awareness may provide a sense of loneliness, or grief, leading me to want to reach out, but to who?”

Or

I don’t know who to talk to because I feel shame or anxiety, depressed, unsure, unheard. I don’t want to talk to those closest to me, I don’t want them to know.

Or

Many clients have shared that their expectations, have led to a greater detachment to the other. There is often overwhelm and confusion. There is often a disconnect between our values and beliefs. There is often a perceived lack of time.

Salt and Pepper Therapeutic Counselling Service provides an opportunity for you “the client” to have a safe space to explore your experience. Whatever it might be. To take the time that is so often required, but not always taken, so as to gain clarity.

To find a way forward.
