Who is the Counsellor?Your therapist will be Elsja Playne, a highly experienced therapist who has worked as a Professional Counsellor for over 15 years supporting clients via Telephone, Video and Face-to-Face.

Are there any forms that I will need to fill out?There are 2 forms that you will need to complete and return before therapy can begin. The Intake form which requires your personal information, the Informed Consent Form which outlines the counselling process. Both forms will be emailed to you for completion once you have chosen to commit to attending therapy. Please read the Intake Information Form and Informed Consent Form accessible on the F.A.Q page.

Will my information be kept private and confidential?Salt and Pepper Therapeutic Counselling Service is highly committed to protecting your information. It is important that you take the time to read the Privacy Policy accessible via the F.A.Q page.

Is there a fee?The fees for the service are as follows: $150.00 per 1 hour session, or $200 per 1.5-hour session (recommended for couples) which needs to be deposited as a bank transfer prior to the session. Prepaid: $125.00- If you book and pay immediately after each session - Elsja offers a $25 discount so your fee will be $125. Please read the Informed Consent Form under “Fees” for more detailed information, as well as the structure and process for paying.

How often will I need to attend therapy?It depends! Everyone has their own reasons for contacting a counselling service. Elsja will speak to you prior to the first session, which offers a good opportunity to explore what may provide the best path forward. Weekly or fortnightly sessions work well for most people. Regardless of the frequency, the process of attending therapy is the same for every-one.
